Systems Communication via RS485:
- The microprocessor controlled electronic ballasts by ZED are provided with a set of
control features:
- turn on/off ballast
- ballast status monitoring
- set lamp current level during operation
- preheat on/off
- set preheat current level
- select preheat time
- ballasts can be controlled locally or remotely via RS485
- up to 256 ballast can be connected to one two-wire bus(RS485)
- identification with a (bus-)unique address
- remote control via PLC (Programmable Logic Controller), PC
or special ZED control units SSC or DigiCon
- The Digital Sensors by ZED are to be connected and monitored via RS485:
- sensor identification via sensor ID
- UV value given as ASCII text via RS485
- value monitoring via PLC (Programmable Logic Controller), PC
or special ZED´s monitors or control units
- simple communication protocol allows easy integration
(third party slaves not allowed on the bus)
- enhanced communication protocol supports all DigiCon features
Control Units - Smart Serial Control SSC:
- control of microprocessor controlled electronic ballasts
- allows easy integration of microprocessor controlled electronic ballasts
into existing systems with analog interfaces
- UV monitoring with digital and analog UV sensors
- monitoring of flow
- calculation of specific irradiation (dose)
- special control features, e.g. ballast control depending on sensor inputs
- additional monitoring and automation features can be implemented on request
Control System DigiCon:
- scalable control unit for systems automation
- adapts to complex systems
- control of ZED microprocessor controlled electronic ballasts
- UV monitoring with digital and analog UV sensors
- several local/remote user interfaces available
- i/o-modules (connection of relay, analog in-/outputs...)
